Structure

“The clear structure to explaining the role of a magistrate and the difference between the magistrate and crown court. The inclusion of examples of cases to demonstrate risk assessment, giving bail and decisions around sentencing. “

Mock Trials

What an incredible experience our team had at the Plymouth University Magistrates Mock Trial competition today! Both rounds went exactly how we hoped in terms of outcomes, but while we didn’t clinch the overall heat this time, we couldn’t be prouder of how our team performed. They represented All Saints Academy with absolute brilliance and dedication.

A special shout-out to Jayden W, who wowed the lead magistrate and judges by reciting the affirmation completely from memory such an impressive feat!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me.

I am so thankful that you helped me and the UPLS with mock trial, all the documents and booking the courtroom. Hopefully you have enjoyed it as well.

I will put your contact details for next academic years Debate and Mock trial officers so they could contact you with next year's Mock trial!

Kind regards,

Ugne Bendziute UPLS Debate and Mock trial officer 2025/2026
